Terms & Conditions

At Melbourne Oystertainers, we believe fair is fair.

Our terms and conditions are designed to ensure clarity, fairness,

and a seamless experience for both our clients and our team.

1. Booking & Deposit:

To secure your catering services, a deposit of 30% of the total estimated cost is required at the time of booking. The deposit can be paid via details seen on the invoice, while the remaining balance is due prior to the event date. Failure to pay the deposit allows availability of your event date for other clients' bookings. We understand the importance of your event date and want to ensure it is reserved exclusively for you.

2. Confirm & Changes:

Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received. Any changes to the booking details, including date, time, or menu, must be communicated to us. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

3. Cancel &  retraction
Policy:

In the event of cancellation by the client, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days prior to the event date will result in the client being liable for the full remaining balance of the booking.

4. Selection & Dietary Requests 

Seafood selections must be finalised at least 30 Days prior to the event date. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests; however, we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens in our food items.

5. Setup & Equipment:

We will provide all necessary equipment for food service, including tables, serving utensils, and condiments. The client is responsible for providing adequate space and reasonable access to utilities for our setup.

6. Liability & Safety

While every effort will be made to ensure the quality and safety of our catering services, we cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from circumstances beyond our control. The client is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of guests during the event.

7. Payment & Options

The remaining balance of the booking must be paid prior to the event commence date. Payments can be made via details seen on the invoice. Other payment options can be discussed further. 

8. Food  & Safety Certified

We are proud to be HACCP and PrimeSafe certified, adhering to stringent food safety and quality standards. These certifications ensure that our food handling practices meet or exceed industry regulations, providing you with peace of mind regarding the safety and quality of our catering services.

9. Governing & Law:

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. By booking our catering services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
